Phase 1 registration & Participation
The first phase runs completely online over a period of one week in January 2026. During this phase, students can participate in team of min 2 or max 4 people

Release of problem statements and presentation submissions starts
Teams are required to submit a PowerPoint presentation of up to 10 slides. The focus is not on perfection, but on clarity of thought. Submissions should explain the chosen problem, the proposed solution, the planned architecture, the technology stack, feasibility, and team roles.

Submissions will be reviewed by GDG leads and invited industry experts

Result announcement & Phase 2 onboarding
Based on evaluation, top 50 teams will be shortlisted for the offline phase. Invitations will be sent via mail

The second phase is a continuous 24-hour offline hackathon conducted over a weekend in January 2026. The event begins in the afternoon and continues until the next day

Hackathon starts
The first few hours are dedicated to environment setup, deeper problem analysis, and final planning. The majority of the time is spent on active development and coding, followed by testing, documentation, and final presentation preparation.

Refreshment & Networking break
A short refreshment break for participants to relax, recharge, and interact informally with mentors and peers before continuing development

Dinner along with bonfire and jamming session
Dinner will served for all participants, followed by a relaxed bonfire and light jamming session. This informal interaction slot is designed to help teams unwind, connect with peers, and recharge before resuming the overnight development phase

Day 2 : Offline 24-Hour Hackathon

Final project submission
Teams submit their final deliverables including working prototype, a GitHub repository, a short presentation deck, and a brief demo video. No further changes are allowed after this window

Final Evaluation & Shortlisting
Judges and mentors review projects based on predefined criteria. Teams may be asked to explain technical decisions, challenges faced, and solution feasibility

Winner announcement & Award ceremony
Based on submission, top 3 teams will be selected and announcement of winners followed by prize distribution, certificates, and closing remarks. The event concludes with acknowledgements and group photographs.
